Camden Jacaranda Festival
The inaugural Camden Jacaranda Festival 2018 was a great success. The Argyle Street Business Collective is in the process of planning tour 2019 event.
The Camden Jacaranda Festival will be on 22, 23, 24 November 2019. Information can be found on the Camden Jacaranda Festival website. More information will be added as we get closer to the event.
Information Morning Tea: Our wonderful sponsors from the 2018 Camden Jacaranda Festival as well as local businesses have been invited to a presentation from the Argyle Street Business Collective at the Camden Council Administration Building on Tuesday 14th May between 10 am to 12 noon.
While Council has been investing in the beautification of the street, we have been working closely with the Events Team to develop a number of initiatives to make sure that this investment is utilised the best possible way for the community and local business. Kristy, Cas and their team have done a truly amazing job.
The creation and launch of “Winterfest” is intended to be a celebration of Camden for our local community as well as a great way to draw in tourists to enjoy our town and spend money in the local businesses here.
A huge ice skating rink in Larkin Place, street performers and a whole heap of associated winter themed activities are guaranteed to be a significant draw card for the area and a lot of fun for families.
For this large investment to be justifiable moving forward, we really need to get as many local businesses involved and make sure that we really capitalise on the opportunity we have been given.
We would encourage all of our local businesses to get involved by coming up with a “special offer or promotion” to run during the “Winterfest” period. Any special offers will be actively promoted by council as part of the social media campaign to promote the event.
If you have any questions about what is going on, or would like to know about how you can get involved, please don’t hesitate to contact us
The Argyle Street Business Collective has several events in the very early stages of planning. Stay tuned.
